Fred Vasseur can't contain his laughter after talking about his drivers during a Formula 1 interview. Read ahead to know why
Fred Vasseur and Ferrari have started their 2025 season on a really shaky basis. The performance in the first three races has helped their fans prepare themselves for the upcoming season (2025 2026 will be our season). Scuderia Ferrari also brought a new driver in 2025. And in typical Ferrari fashion, they gave him a rollercoaster ride of the journey known as Ferrari.
In one weekend, Ferrari’s legendary talent faced everything. He went from being absurdly slow in practice to being Lightning McQueen in the Sprint weekend. But unfortunately, he could not win the Piston Cup (read Chinese Grand Prix). Their second driver, the golden prince from the land of Monaco, had a similar experience. It looks like Ferrari’s decisions have taken a toll on him. Their second driver is straight up refusing to follow instructions anymore (welcome back Kimi Raikkonen, without the championship of course).
But what’s an F1 season without watching the Tifosi get absolutely disappointed. Ferrari and toxic relationships have one thing in common, you just can’t leave them. So here we go, Fred Vasseur has revealed their new driver lineup ahead of the Bahrain Grand Prix. Maybe, these two newcomers are the hope that keep Ferrari afloat as a winning team.

If you thought Fred Vasseur was merely team principal, you’re wrong. He is an “absolutely magnificent, impeccably cool, undoubtedly the best, the biggest relief of happiness and the blooming sunflower” of Ferrari (out of breath). Formula 1 decided they would interview the team principals before the start of the weekend in Bahrain (uh… correction, team principals and Zak Brown). On one hand, we had the stoic and elegant James Vowles with his charisma inspiring us to listen to his interview. On the other hand, we had Fred Vasseur. Half of the interview was Fred Vasseur laughing for different reasons which he never told us (maybe he was the guy who laughed for absolutely no reason in class).
Fred Vasseur, nickname revealed as George Kun, was presenting his answers with a contagious humor that quickly took over the entire interview video. However, during his interview Vasseur revealed that he had secured the services of two drivers who were very focused and talented. Vasseur believes that they are going bring Ferrari to new heights this season.
Charlo, Lulu and Oscar Rodger Dodger… Just some of the nicknames given to the drivers from their bosses! 😂

Ferrari’s new pilots for the 2025 season are (drumrolls)- Charlo and Lulu. Yes, with absolutely no track record of who they and just where did they come from. We shall drop the act and reveal the true identity of these two drivers. Charlo is Charles Leclerc and Lulu is Sir Lewis Hamilton. These two aliases are just the nicknames provided to them by their own boss.
Other drivers of the grid do not have such a favorable fortune. Zak Brown calls Piastri, Oscar Rodger Dodger. Why? We don’t know and so does Zak Brown. JV, James Vowles, refers to the nickname which the world has provided their drivers, Carbono. Vowles is probably sad about the lack consistency with the nickname of his drivers.

nhl I work as a Writer at The Playoffs specialising in NHL, Formula 1 and Motorsports. I got into online journalism a couple of years ago. I used to be an intern for a website managing their Formula 1 content and then I served an entire year as a contractual writer.
Read moreFor me, online journalism was not something I expected. I am a Mechanical Engineer aiming to join Formula 1. At the same time, I am a poet, writer and my university’s Literary Club Lead. One day the dots connected together and I realised I could use my writing skills to convey my passion for Motorsports.
The biggest aspects I love about my role are- Scuderia Ferrari and Sebastian Vettel. When I am not fawning over them I like to convey my opinions to the public, in a manner which helps them gain a new point of view. I love helping people explore new ideas about Motorsports and obviously get recognised as a writer all over the world.
Message to Readers: I promise you one day you’ll see me managing operations on track with a Formula 1 team ; )
