Lawrence Stroll has emerged as one of the biggest personalitties in Formula 1. Lance Stroll’s father and business tycoon, made moves in 2021 as he entered Formula 1.

Stroll brought the Racing Point Formula 1 team in 2021. He renamed it to Aston Martin Formula 1 team. Lawrence Stroll’s commitment is no mystery in F1. He has secured the services of the best people in the field.

In 2021, he joined hands with Sebastian Vettel to lead his team. Vettel’s contribution helped his team earn some quick podiums in 2023. Fernando Alonso steered his team to an amazing season in 2023.

Lawrence Stroll is Unhappy With Aston Martin F1

A report has confirmed that Stroll Sr. Does not like the underwhelming start to 2025 for Aston Martin F1. Lawrence Stroll brought in Adrian Newey to his team in 2025. Newey is a celebrated aerodynamicist in Formula 1. He led many drivers and teams to world championships in F1.

Newey’s defection to Aston Martin F1, spread like wildfire in Formula 1. Almost entire Formula 1 paddock expected Aston Martin to emerge as a competitive team. However, unlike expectations, Aston Martin has stayed incompetent for the first three races.

Lance Stroll has secured some points here and there. Their lead driver, Fernando Alonso has not finished two out of three races. Alonso could not earn any points in Japan.

Why is Aston Martin Lagging Behind Still?

Aston Martin F1 has faced performance spikes many times in the past few years. In their history, the team has not been able to produce consistent results. They were brilliant in 2020 and dropped back in the next couple of seasons.

Aston Martin F1 resurfaced in 2022 and went down badly in the succeeding seasons. Lawrence Stroll is obsessed with the idea of making his team a world championship competitor.

He has been spending money non-stop on the team. Stroll Sr’s frustration can be considered valid on basis on his investment.

But, the most important fact is- any team can’t go from 0-100 in one season. Even Adrian Newey’s presence is not enough to give Aston Martins the necessary boost to launch themselves to the front row. Newey has always taken some seasons trying to adapt his designs to the team’s philosophy.

Lawrence Stroll needs to give Adrian Newey and his team some leverage and breathing room.
