Many fans don’t know that Ulberg actually made his MMA debut way back in 2011. However, he then took a lengthy hiatus from the sport to pursue other combat sports before returning with a vengeance.

Training out of the famed City Kickboxing gym alongside UFC champions Israel Adesanya and Alexander Volkanovski has clearly paid dividends. His spectacular knockout on Dana White’s Contender Series earned him a UFC contract, though his organizational debut didn’t go as planned. After a wild first round against Kennedy Nzechukwu that had fans on their feet, Ulberg gassed out and suffered a knockout loss that exposed his cardio limitations.
