Tom Aspinall has expressed frustrations regarding his fight with Jon Jones in the UFC. The heavyweight bout between the two has been one of the most anticipated upcoming bouts of the UFC. Dana White has seemed confident that both will be fighting this year.

Tom Aspinall has been frustrated because Jon Jones has not given any kind of confirmation about the fight on his end. Notably, Tom Aspinall is the interim UFC Heavyweight Champion. Jon Jones is presently the UFC Heavyweight Champion. Aspinall has openly expressed his frustrations regarding his fight with Jon Jones as it is still in limbo. So what did he say?

Tom Aspinall Either Wants To Fight Jon Jones or Move to Something Else

Tom Aspinall recently appeared on the High Performance podcast as per reports. There, the podcasters asked him about his upcoming potential fight against Jon Jones in the UFC. This is where Tom Aspinall expressed his frustration about the matter. He responded –

“I’m well bored of the [the Jon Jones Conversation]. I’ve had enough. We either need to fight, or I need to move on to something else.”

MMA Fighting notably posted Tom Aspinall’s comments about Jon Jones on their official Instagram post. Tom Aspinall had earlier called out Jon Jones for a fight after retaining his interim heavyweight title against Curtis Blaydes at UFC 304 on July 27, 2024 as per reports. Jon “Bones” Jones have unfortunately not responded to him in any way.

Tom Aspinall Has Become the Longest Reigning UFC Interim Champion

Tom Aspinall has the honor of being the longest interim champion in the UFC so far. He first won the interim UFC Heavyweight title against Sergei Pavlovich at UFC 295 on November 11, 2023. Aspinall has since then has reigned with the title for more than a year. He also successfully defended the title against Curtis Blaydes at UFC 304 on July 27, 2024.

Tom Aspinall just have to see whether gets his shot at Jon Jones or not in the future. This is even after Dana White confirming the fight for 2025. The ball is presently in Jon Jones’ court and fans have to wait to see if “Bones” decides to step up.
