Terence Crawford more recently appeared in an interview with Wade Plemons for Ring Magazine. Wade Plemons asked Terence Crawford abouit his opinion on the concept of size discrepancies in boxing. Crawford said that he has no worries about size differences before he met Canelo Alvarez. He then went on to reveal the following –
“Facts. And [Canelo]’s always the smallest person in his division. When you’ve got Usyk fighting Fury, Fury was a massive fighter over Usyk. And you know, the bigger guy didn’t win either fight. So, I just think in this case, a lot of people are just going off of other people’s opinions”.
Notably, both Ring Magazine and Wade Plemons put the comments from Terence Crawford in their respective official Instagram posts. Canelo Alvarez has defeated William Scull in his last fight. Terence Crawford then came out and confronted Canelo Alvarez. Turki Alalshikh formally announced the bout between the two on September 12, 2025. Notably, Dana White of the UFC will also be promoting the fight, making his first venture into the world of boxing.
Terence Crawford competed in his last boxing bout on August 3, 2024. He faced Israil Madrimov in this bout. The fight both proved to be tough challengers for each other (via Ring Magazine on YouTube)-
Terence Crawford and Isarail Madrimov spent the first three rounds of the bout testing each other. Crawford started showing his aggression from the forth round while Madrimov did the same fight round onwards. Both boxers spent the maxing duration of their bout trying to power punch each other. Terence Crawford finally emerged as the winner during the last thirty seconds of the eleventh round. He also became a four-division champion and won the WBA Super Welterweight title at the end of the bout.
Terence Crawford and Canelo Alvarez had both won titles in their respective last bouts as boxers. Now that they will be facing each other, September 12, 2025, will finally unveil the better boxer amongst these two.
