John Cena, “The Last Real Champion” will be appearing at Friday Night SmackDown on May 9, 2025 as per the WWE official site. Randy Orton will also be involved in this segment. Notably, this will be the last Backlash of John Cena’s career. So both John Cena and Randy Orton might trash talk each other before their title match at Backlash.
The WWE has set up a tag team match for Friday Night SmackDown on May 9, 2025. This match will feature LA Knight and Damian Priest vs Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa as per the WWE official site. Notably all three of these wrestlers except Solo Sikoa are a part of the Fatal-Four Way Match for the United States title at Backlash. The match might also see Drew McIntyre return and attack Damian Priest for his actions weeks earlier.
Jade Cargill will be facing off against Nia Jax at Friday Night SmackDown on May 9, 2025 as per the WWE official site. This will be a match to determine who becomes the #1 contender to Tiffany Stratton’s WWE Women’s Championship. Tiffany Stratton will play a role in this match in some way.
