Learn All the Details About the Debut of Veteran Wrestler Rhino in AEW.
The AEW has witnessed the arrival of Rhino to its roster. Nicknamed ”The Man-Beast”, Rhino has been a veteran of the ECW, WWF/WWE, TNA and NWA promotions. He is also notable for fans chanting “GORE, GORE, GORE” whenever he competed inside the ring.
Rhino appeared for the first time in AEW on AEW Dynamite last night and challenged Nick Wayne for the ROH TV title. So, how did the “Man-Beast”’s debut match in AEW go down? Read on more to find out.

Rhino came out to the ring at AEW Dynamite on May 7 to the surprise of the fans in Detroit. Notably, this is also Rhino’s hometown. He was involved in a storyline between Christian Cage and Nick Wayne. Both are members of “The Patriarchy” stable in AEW. However, they have been feuding about the man of the house in their stable.
Nick Wayne was asked to defend his title against “a man from Christian Cage’s past”. That man turned out to be Rhino, the “Man-Beast” (via AEW on X). Rhino and Christian “The Patriarch” Cage both have a lot of history in their past from their time in TNA. Hence, Nick Wayne had to defend his ROH Television Championship against Rhino.
Rhino and Nick Wayne engaged in a strong fight for the ROH TV title during their match. Nick Wayne initially had a difficult time against the veteran Rhino. Unfortunately, the Man-Beast was not able to end the match with a win (via AEW on YouTube)-
Kip Sabian interfered in the match and distracted the referee Aubrey Edwards. Christian Cage then tried to trip Rhino but the Man-Beast did not fall for it. Nick Wayne finally got a chance and performed a Killswitch on Rhino and brought the Man-Beast down. This allowed him to win the match via pinfall. Nick Wayne still remains as the ROH Television Champion, However, his tension with Christian Cage continued in the aftermath of the match. Christian Cage attempted to tie Nick Wayne’s ROH Television title around his waist but instead dropped it on the canvas and left the ring. This is a strong hint that one of them will be turning against the other very soon in the future.
AEW fans however, were thrilled and surprised to see Rhino inside the AEW ring for the first time. He will once again appear in AEW on May 8 at AEW Collision. They will just have to wait and see if he becomes a permanent member of the roster or not.
