Will the Rock and John Cena make an appearance at the Saturday Night Main Event?
After the success of the Survivor Series, WWE has announced its other big event to be held on Saturday, December 14th, 2024. With just a week and a half remaining for the mega event, rumors are bound to circle across social media and other platforms.
Four events have already been announced for the Saturday Night Main Event. ‘The American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes will defend his WWE Undisputed Championship against ‘The K.O.’ Kevin Owens. ‘The Ring General’ Gunther is set to get his revenge on Finn Balor when he defends his World Heavyweight Championship against him.
Iyo Sky and Liv Morgan are set to battle it out for the WWE Women’s Championship and the opponents for the final of WWE’s Women’s United States Championship.
It’s been quite a while since ‘The Final Boss’ Dwayne Johnson has a say in WWE. We last saw him for his rivalry against Cody Rhode. ‘The People’s Champ’ was speculated to return at the Survivor Series with his Blood going to war against each other, however, fans had to leave the arena empty-handed.
Now that his movie “Red One” is in the theatres, “The People’s Champ” has a lot of spare time. He might pay a visit during The WWE Undisputed Championship match between Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes and impact the result of the game. This will set up his rivalry nicely with the American Nightmare.

The Saturday Night Main Event is the last major event of this year before WWE goes to Netflix. John Cena is already confirmed to make an appearance for WWE on Netflix Global event. The legend might make an appearance at the main event to reveal his plans during his retirement tour and to set up his storyline one last time in the WWE.
Cena has already announced that he will retire from the WWE after WrestleMania 2025 and that he will be a regular feature for his last year in the WWE.
Randy Orton has been out of action due to a neck injury since ‘the K.O.’ performed the banned piledriver on him. This has set up a rivalry between Kevin Owens and ‘The Viper’s ally Cody Rhodes. The former brothers have become enemies. If the past is any indication, we know ‘The Legend Killer’ Randy would be eager to get his revenge on K.O.
The RKO might be there for the match between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens and once Cody finishes his business with Kevin Owens, end the event with an RKO to Owens. Fans are waiting to see the rivalry between Randy Orton and Kevin Owens.

WWE is yet to figure out who attacked Jade Cargill. The Women’s Tag Team champion has been out of action ever since. We might see Jade returning for the Main Event to reveal who attacked her. We can only make the presumption that it was the dirty work of Nia Jax and Liv Morgan.
It can be someone who replaced her as the fifth member of Team Ripley at WarGames. She got to attention by becoming the fifth member and with Jade Cargill absent from the roster, she is getting all the chances to be the tag team partner of Bianca Belair.
‘The Ring General’ talked smack about Goldberg and his son which didn’t go well with “Da Man”. Goldberg was at an event where he announced that he would be retiring from the WWE. Pointing toward Gunther, he revealed who his last victim going to be. With Finn Balor and Gunther set to lock horns for the WWE Heavyweight Championship, we would love to see Gunther lying in the ring after a spear and jackhammer.
