Saquon Barkley’s Iconic Backward Hurdle Now Featured in Madden 25

Do it like Saquon !

EA Sports has integrated Saquon Barkley’s sensational backward hurdle into Madden 25.

This update allows players to replicate the Philadelphia Eagles running back’s extraordinary move, which captivated fans during a recent game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

On November 3, 2024, Barkley executed a maneuver that defied conventional football plays.

Facing a third-and-6 situation, he caught a pass in the flat, evaded a tackle, spun past a linebacker, and, with his back to an approaching defender, leaped backward over the opponent, gaining additional yardage. This 14-yard play left spectators and analysts in awe, with many describing it as one of the most impressive feats ever witnessed on the field.

Recognizing the cultural impact of this play, EA Sports swiftly incorporated the “Spin Hurdle” into Madden 25.

The game’s latest update, released on November 20, 2024, features this exclusive move, which can only be performed by Barkley within the game. To execute the move, players must control Barkley, position him at a 45-degree angle to an incoming defender, and time the hurdle button press precisely.

Madden game designer Spade expressed enthusiasm about the addition, stating, “It’s rare, this day and age, to see something that’s never been done before. That’s when we knew we wanted it in-game.” This prompt integration underscores EA Sports’ commitment to mirroring real-life football dynamics and celebrating exceptional athletic achievements.

For those eager to witness or attempt this move, the updated Madden 25 is now available, inviting fans to experience firsthand the agility and innovation that define Saquon Barkley’s playing style.
