“I wouldn’t say surprised,” DeVito said in an interview with ESPN’s Jordan Raanan. “I was open for all outcomes. It was something I had been trying for since last year. You always stay ready. You never know.”

Last season, “DeVito-mania” captivated fans as the rookie quarterback delivered a respectable performance, throwing eight touchdown passes and three interceptions during a six-game stint that saw the Giants go 3-3.
