Roman Reigns Injury Update: What happened to Roman Reigns?

Roman Reigns out of WWE indefinitely after being brutalized by Seth Rollins.

The 2025 Royal Rumble broke all records of attendance becoming the third-highest in WWE history. It was the highest-grossing Royal Rumble of all time. Superstars like CM Punk, John Cena, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins were a few of the many superstars featured at the Rumble. It did not go as planned for most superstars as Jey Uso eliminated John Cena and won the 30-Men Royal Rumble.

The Undisputed Tribal Chief entered the arena at number 16 in the Rumble. He eliminated Bron Breakker, Joe Hendry, Miz, and Sheamus. The OTC stayed for 37 minutes and 15 seconds before being eliminated by CM Punk. The Best in the World took advantage of a dispute between Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins and eliminated both together.

What happened to Roman Reigns?

Seth Rollins stomped Roman Reigns on the floor first and then again on the steel stairs. Roman was already devastated by the spear and the brutalization of a Royal Rumble match. He later had to face the wrath of an angered visionary. WWE has not yet disclosed the extent of the injury as Roman Reigns has chosen not to reveal it.

John Cena has already booked his seat for the Elimination Chamber. One of Sami Zayn and CM Punk would qualify for the Elimination Chamber. The winner of the Elimination Chamber would become the #1 contender for the title Jey doesn’t choose. It will be interesting to see whether he would be able to enter the Elimination Chamber.

When will Roman Reigns be back?

The Royal Rumble didn’t go as Roman Reigns planned. CM Punk eliminated him and he got injured as well. Nothing has been revealed about the injury but Michael Cole revealed today that Roman Reigns might be out of WWE for an extended amount of time. Roman Reigns chose not to reveal the extent of the injury but the trainer believed that Roman Reigns would be out for the “foreseeable future”.
