Who will enter the main draw of the French Open?

The second Grand Slam of the year is approaching sooner than ever – the 2025 Roland Garros Championships will take place between Sunday, 25 May and Sunday, 8 June. Ahead of the highly anticipated clay court major, there will be a qualifying event for the main draw of the French Open. Several top stars, including former Grand Slam champions, will compete to fill the vacancies in the respective draws.

Roland Garros is organised annually by the French Tennis Federation in Paris. It is played on outdoor clay courts at the Stade Roland Garros. While the current singles champions from 2024 are Carlos Alcaraz and Iga Swiatek, Rafael Nadal and Chris Evert are the most illustrious players historically. Normally played from late May onwards, the French Open is considered one of the most challenging and physically demanding events across the year.

Additionally 2012 Roland Garros runner-up Sara Errani, No. 6 seed Taylor Townsend, former Top-15 star Petra Martic, and 2021 French Open semifinalist Tamara Zidansek will fight it out in the qualifiers from Monday.
