Israel Adesanya is arguably the second greatest UFC middleweight fighter of all time and it has been a treat to watch him on and off the octagon so far. From dominant wins against his opponents to hilarious interviews off the octagon, he has shown why he’s a fan favorite. Izzy has fought some of the best middleweight fighters of all time and it includes Silva, Pereira, Strickland, Du Plessis, Whittaker, and many more. From championship glory days to battling adversity, he’s seen it all. Izzy has firmly cemented his legacy as a top 5 UFC middleweight fighters of all time.
Recently he was asked who would win a fight between Alex Pereira and Prime Anderson Silva. Both of these fighters are/were elite and it is certainly tough to pick between the two. When we talk about Silva, we immediately think of him as the middleweight G.O.A.T who destroyed his opponents in the octagon. Meanwhile Pereira has an incredible resume too and is one of the only 9 fighters to win championships in two separate divisions. So who did Izzy pick? Let’s find out.

Adesanya thinks that Anderson Silva may come out on top, if he fights Pereira at 185 pounds. Izzy said “Leg kicks from Pereira are a problem. That’s the thing. F**k. It’s just a different game man.” he continues “Silva as well. He mixed it up well but again, F**k, that’s a good question.”

The question had Izzy in shambles as he was having a very hard time picking between the two.
He further added “The way Silva… His distance was on. Pereira’s pressure, Silva would have handled it with good footwork. Silva can turn it on as well. Pereira’s leg kick is a problem. That’s one thing I can just- I can’t get past and I don’t know if… Silva’s southpaw as well though nope. Silva switched well and he fought very well in southpaw. Hold up. Clinch? Naah. Silva had a chin too in his prime. Pereira in his prime at 185 F**k!”

It was hilarious to watch Izzy try to navigate between the two fighters but at the end he said “I want to lean Silva. I want to lean Silva but Pereira catches him against the fence, Silva was good on the fence! He (Silva) was good on the fence man. Silva just knew how to like f**king matrix sh** but again Pereira it’s the leg kick, that’s the thing. I don’t know. That’s a good question. Let me ponder on that. Let me actually think about that. I’ve fought both of them so I know. So again, I’m leaning prime Anderson but again… I’m gonna lean (towards) prime Anderson.”

mma I cover the National Football League and things cannot get better than that. I always dreamed to play football or basketball professionally since I’m built like a Running Back. But now that I can’t, since I’m technically in the “Unc” age, I thought why not pick a career in sports industry? So here I am, doing what I love, and hoping that the Commanders win the Super Bowl. I give love to players when it’s due, but can be critical about their performances at the same time. Enough about me, now let my articles do all the talking.
