Norrie aims to rewrite history against Djokovic’s unblemished record.
The sixth seed, Novak Djokovic, will clash with the unseeded Cameron Norrie in the fourth round of the Roland Garros. The Serb has made a quiet but commanding march through the Roland Garros draw. He hasn’t dropped a set in three rounds, brushing aside Mackenzie McDonald, Corentin Moutet, and qualifier Filip Misolic with the kind of efficiency we’ve come to expect. His only hiccup was a lone tiebreak with Moutet.
Norrie, meanwhile, has taken the scenic route. His opening-round thriller saw him outlast 11th seed Daniil Medvedev in five sets, a gritty, statement-making win. Since then, he’s steadied the ship, cruising past lucky loser Federico Agustin Gamez and handling Jacob Fearnley in straight sets, despite a second-set tiebreak test.

Novak gets his 99th Roland Garros match win.
This is his first time winning 7 matches in a row since last August.
He hasn't dropped set.

Now, the two meet with contrasting momentum: Nole, clinical and untroubled; Norrie, tested and rising. It’s a classic showdown of experience versus belief, with a spot in the final eight on the line.

Djokovic’s 2025 season has had its ups and downs, but his recent form suggests he’s hitting his stride at the right time. After a semifinal exit in Melbourne, cut short by a leg injury, he bounced back with a finals run in Miami, losing to Jakub Mensik in hard-fought straight sets.
Most notably, he captured his 100th career title in Geneva, edging Hubert Hurkacz in a tense, two-tiebreak battle. With 172 aces, a 77% win rate on first serve, and a 41% break point conversion rate, the numbers still reflect elite-level tennis given a respectable 16-7 record.
He still hasn't lost a set, he's in good condition, and playing as well as anybody could have anticipated.

If Novak Djokovic is going to win his 25th grand slam, I feel like this is his absolutely his best chance right now. pic.twitter.com/rBRDT1uD2U
Norrie, however, has had a patchy year marked by inconsistency. Early in the season, he reached the quarterfinals in Hong Kong and Delray Beach, but outside of those, his campaign was mostly defined by early exits. Eventually in Geneva, he made a gritty semifinal run before falling to Djokovic in three sets.
Statistically, he fired 117 aces and had a 41% break point conversion rate. Though his 69% first-serve win rate and modest 27% on first-serve returns show where the gap remains.
Novak Djokovic leads Cameron Norrie 5-0 in their head-to-head, a rivalry that has been firmly one-sided since it began at the 2021 Nitto ATP Finals. Djokovic has taken all five matches, dropping just one set at Wimbledon 2022, where Norrie made a brief push before the Serb regained control. Their 2023 encounters, in Rome and at the Davis Cup Finals, were again straightforward wins for Djokovic in straight sets.
Their most recent clash in Geneva saw Norrie put up his strongest fight yet, taking the second set in a tiebreak after dropping the first. But Djokovic regrouped quickly and sealed the match in the third.

This matchup pits Djokovic’s experience and consistency against Norrie’s recent resurgence. While Norrie comes in with momentum and pushed Djokovic in Geneva to a tiebreak, the challenge of a best-of-five on clay is a different beast.
Djokovic holds the head-to-head edge and is a former three-time Roland Garros champion with 24 Grand Slam titles overall to his name.
Prediction: Novak Djokovic in straight sets.
