The symbolism of this match for Nick Chubb and the Browns was great.
14 months ago, Nick Chubb could have thought his career was over after sustaining a severe knee injury against the same Steelers.
14 months later, Nick Chubb is back against those same Steelers, under extreme condition in Cleveland. But neither the snow didn’t hold him off last night nor the Steelers.
On October 2024, Chubb was finally back on an NFL field, ready to remind everyone his powerness on the ground. Against the Bengals, his stats were frankly modest but his 1-yard touchdown in the second quarter was a brief reminder of how hard it is to stop him on the ground.
Yesterday, he had a pivotal role on Browns’ victory against their AFC rival, scoring two touchdowns.
With 57 secondes left in the 4th quarter, Nick Chubb scored a go-ahead two-yards touchdown to give Cleveland a precious victory. He helped the Cleveland Browns to a 24-19 victory and ending the Steelers’ five-game winning streak.

Jameis Winston experience was really precious for the Browns in those harsh conditions. For the second time this year, the Browns have defeated a division rival.
For Nick Chubb and the Browns, this game has a very special meaning.
Although Chubb’s performances on the field remain relatively modest, his presence seems to mean much more than a simple statistical line.
Myles Garrett, who finished the game with 3 sacks, underlined the importance of Chubb’s return and his game.
“It meant a lot to me. I know it means a lot to him,” said Myles Garrett, via AP. “He won’t say it, but it’s true. I’ll say it because this time last year we were sick to our stomachs. There was just so much in the air, so for him to come back and be pivotal in this game just speaks to the kind of resilience and the man that he is. We absolutely love him.”
All his teammates were genuinely happy for their running back and were eager to share it to the world :
“I’m his No. 1 fan when he’s out there,” declared Jerome Ford, Browns running back. “If I could, I would start the ‘Chubb’ chant every time he steps on the field.”
The main protagonist of this game didn’t speak to the press but we can truly imagine how he was feeling.
The Browns will have a long rest until they get back on the field. Their next game is scheduled on Monday, December 2nd against the Denver Broncos in Mile High.
Cleveland is currently standing last in the AFC North division with a 3-8 record.
