Daniel Jones Reportedly Eyeing a Move to a Playoff Contender Amid NFL Trade Rumors
The New York Giants have let go of quarterback Daniel Jones following a disappointing tenure with the team. Jones, who was selected sixth in the 2019 draft, asked to be let go and is now seeking to join a team in contention for the playoffs. The Giants will proceed with Tommy DeVito as their starting quarterback.
When he reaches that stage of being a free agent and is permitted to engage in discussions with other teams, Jones is expected to make a swift decision and sign a contract promptly.

Jones is expected to pass through waivers since any team that acquires him would have to pay the $11.83 million remaining on his current contract, in addition to the $23 million injury guarantee for the following season.
According to sources, Jones, who was formally released by the Giants on Saturday, is predicted to have several choices but will probably want to end the season with a team in playoff contention, playing in important games, rather than joining a struggling team in need of a quarterback that is not in playoff contention.
Ex-Giants quarterback Daniel Jones will become a free agent on Monday at 4:00 p.m. after clearing waivers. ET quickly rose to prominence and became one of the most sought-after free agents in football.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Baltimore Ravens or Minnesota Vikings are most likely contenders to sign him as multiple teams for his services.

Jones stated preference is also quite surprising, though he hasn’t taken any direct names. Jones prefers being a backup quarterback on a team bound for the postseason over potentially starting for a team in need of a quarterback. Even though it may come as a surprise, it is not unexpected that playoff-contending teams are showing interest in Jones.
Jones would additionally benefit from the stability typically associated with being a member of a successful organization. No matter who signs him, Jones is excited about starting over after a mostly disappointing five-year stint in New York.
nhl I’ve always loved writing and storytelling, and hockey gives me a perfect stage for endless stories to tell. Whether it’s breaking down a game, analyzing a big trade, or capturing the emotions on the ice, I bring the NHL to life through words. So what’s the best part you ask? Watching the action unfold and turning it into something fans can connect with. To my readers: Hockey is more than just a game—it’s the highs, the heartbreaks, and the moments that make us jump off our seats. So, keep cheering, keep debating, and never stop loving the madness of the sport!
