Everything has unraveled for the New York Giants in 2025. At 2-8 and buried in last place in the NFC East, the team is reeling from a cascade of disasters. Rookie running back Cam Skattebo is sidelined win injury, star wideout Malik Nabers is out, head coach Brian Daboll was fired Monday after another blown lead, and now starting quarterback Jaxon Dart is on concussion protocol, after Sunday’s loss to the Bears. The Giants, with most of the playoff hopes already out of the picture, are now turning to Jameis Winston to start, as per Adam Schefter.

With no quick fixes in sight, the Giants limp into Green Bay searching for answers, hoping to change something and get a win, to give their fans some hope.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, veteran Jameis Winston is set to start against the Packers for the Week 11 matchup, leapfrogging Russell Wilson on the depth chart, raising eyebrows and some questions.
Dart’s latest concussion forced the move, and interim coach Mike Kafka is turning to Winston’s experience rather than Wilson’s veteran and star presence. The 31-year-old signal-caller joined the Giants in the offseason as a bridge option, but injuries have thrusted him into the spotlight sooner than expected, as many believed that he would not get a chance to start for this season.
Last season with the Browns, Winston showed flashes of brilliance in limited action. He threw for over 300 yards and multiple touchdowns in relief appearances, proving he can still sling it with the best when hot. His arm talent remains elite – capable of explosive plays that could spark a dormant Giants offense. But the risk is real as Winston led the league in interceptions during his last full starting stint.
Turnovers have defined his career so far, and for a 2-8 team with nothing to lose, they might as well give Winston a shot. His high-variance style might be exactly what the moment demands, as the Giants will most likely have to wait for another season to possibly get into the playoff picture.

mma I cover the National Football League and things cannot get better than that. I always dreamed to play football or basketball professionally since I’m built like a Running Back. But now that I can’t, since I’m technically in the “Unc” age, I thought why not pick a career in sports industry? So here I am, doing what I love, and hoping that the Commanders win the Super Bowl. I give love to players when it’s due, but can be critical about their performances at the same time. Enough about me, now let my articles do all the talking.
