Losing 4-1 at home got Montreal Canadiens captain, Nick Suzuki, a bit angry
Montreal Canadiens’ captain, Nick Suzuki had some harsh words to describe his team performance after conceding a 4-1 home loss to the Los Angeles Kings, Thursday night at Centre Bell.
The lack of energy and poor decision making were a big part of that loss.
“Really disappointing, it was an immature performance on our part”. Captain Nick Suzuki expressed after the game, “Especially as the Kings had played the night before, we gave them life and they were able to feel comfortable in the game. It’s up to us to do better. We made mistakes that we have to correct if we want to win more games.”
His head coach and former Tampa Bay Lightning player, Martin St Louis agreed to his captain’s word to describe what he has seen on the ice.
With 14 turnovers in the first period, the Montreal Canadiens gave up too many opportunities to the Kings instead of pressure them in their own territory.
But, as always, it is only the 5th game of the season and the Montreal Canadiens showed last year that they are capable of doing really good things on the ice with their young core.
The Montreal Canadiens will have to travel to New-York to take on the Islanders (1-1-2) this Saturday at 7 pm ET before starting a two-game home stand against the Rangers and the St Louis Blues.
