Schenn has 198 points (43 goals, 155 assists) in 1000 regular-season games.

Nashville Predators defenseman Luke Schenn hit a big milestone on Thursday night, becoming the 398th NHL player to play in 1,000 regular-season games.

The 34-year-old achieved the milestone in the Predators’ 4-2 loss to the Edmonton Oilers at Bridgestone Arena on Thursday night.

Selected fifth overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2008 NHL Draft, Schenn has played for seven teams throughout his glittering career, including the Maple Leafs, Philadelphia Flyers, Los Angeles Kings, Arizona Coyotes, Anaheim Ducks, Vancouver Canucks, and the Predators.

Schenn’s journey to 1,000 games has included stints in the American Hockey League, where he played for the Toronto Marlies from 2018 to 2020. His consistent performance was rewarded as he returned to the NHL and helped the Tampa Bay Lightning win the Stanley Cup in 2020 and 2021.

Nashville Predator’s losing streak continues

The Edmonton Oilers extended the Nashville Predators’ losing streak to four with a convincing 4-2 victory on Thursday.

Oilers captain Connor McDavid finally got on the board this season, scoring his first goal of the year. Brett Kulak scored twice, while Jeff Skinner also entered the scoresheet as the Oilers registered their second consecutive win.

For the Predators, Filip Forsberg and Jonathan Marchessault were the goal scorers. Juuse Saros made 32 saves in the game but it was not enough to stop the Oilers’ offense.
