12 in a row and counting...
It’s not supposed to be this seamless. When you lose Carlos Correa and Byron Buxton to concussions within 24 hours, and then see Willi Castro leave the very next game with a knee injury, most teams might flinch. The Minnesota Twins haven’t blinked, not while they’re on this streak.

They’ve added another win to an already impressive 12-game win streak, the longest active run this season, and they’re doing it largely behind the one thing that travels no matter who’s hurt: dominant pitching.
On Friday night, it was Joe Ryan’s turn to keep the train rolling. The right-hander delivered six scoreless innings, struck out nine, and allowed just two hits as Minnesota blanked the Brewers 3-0 in Milwaukee. Ryan’s effort extended the team’s scoreless innings streak to 24 and pushed the Twins to a 25-20 record, remarkable, considering they were seven games under .500 less than three weeks ago.

The three early runs by the Twins’ lineup were enough. From there, Ryan handed it off to a bullpen that punched out seven more hitters across the final three innings, capping off a five-hit shutout and giving the staff 16 strikeouts on the night.
Just 10 games into the 2025 season, Minnesota’s rotation owned an ugly 6.90 ERA, the worst mark in the majors. But since then they’ve flipped the script completely. Over the course of the win streak, Twins starters boast a sparkling 2.54 ERA, the best in baseball over that span. Their bullpen has been equally lights-out, leading the majors with 2.7 WAR, per FanGraphs, entering Friday’s action.

The 2025 Twins are now the first team to win 12 straight in consecutive seasons since Cleveland pulled it off in 2016 and 2017. The franchise’s all-time record remains 15 straight, set by the 1991 club that went on to win the World Series.

This team isn’t there yet. But with the arms they’re running out every night, they just might pitch their way into that conversation.
