Iga Swiatek is ahead of Madison Keys in head-to-head record 4-2. The rivalry between Swiatek and Keys began at the 2021 Italian Open, where Swiatek cruised past the American in straight sets. She backed it up with another straight-sets win at Indian Wells in 2022. But later that year, Keys struck back in Cincinnati, handing Swiatek a straight-sets defeat.
In 2024, the Pole restored her control, defeating Keys in straight sets in both the Madrid semifinals and Rome quarterfinals. Their latest chapter came at the 2025 Australian Open, where Keys scored her second career win over Swiatek, and now, with momentum on her side, she’ll look to notch another in Madrid.

Keys is enjoying a career-best season, having claimed her first Grand Slam title at the Australian Open with victories over top contenders like Swiatek and world No. 1, Aryna Sabalenka. Meanwhile, Swiatek has put together an impressive season too, consistently advancing to the semifinals and finals of major tournaments.
Still, Swiatek’s recent form has dipped slightly, with unexpected quarterfinal exits to Alexandra Eala in Miami and Jelena Ostapenko in Stuttgart. Even so, she remains a dominant presence on clay, where her aggressive baseline game and superb footwork give her a distinct edge.
Prediction: Iga Swiatek in straight sets
Madison Keys: 49/20
Iga Swiatek: 8/25
