Jose Aldo’s career has been a rollercoaster of victories and surprises. From dominating regional circuits at 17 (2004) to becoming a UFC legend, Aldo moved down to bantamweight in 2019 and is currently sitting 11th in the UFC rankings. After announcing his retirement in 2022, he switched to boxing in 2023, posting a 1-1-1 record.

But the fire still burned, and Aldo returned to the UFC in May 2024 with a unanimous decision win over Jonathan Martinez. His momentum was halted by a split decision loss to Mario Bautista in October 2024. Of his 32 wins, 17 were by knockout. Aldo’s legacy is far from finished. Aiemann Zahabi’s MMA Journey

Canadian Aiemann Zahabi burst onto the scene in late 2012, scoring a dominant first-round technical knockout over Kyle Vivian. By February 2017, he was making his UFC debut, continuing his undefeated streak with a win over Reginaldo Vieira to record 7-0. But the road hasn’t always been smooth. Zahabi hit a tough stretch with back-to-back losses, first a knockout defeat at the hands of Ricardo Ramos at UFC 217, then a decision loss to Vince Morales at UFC Fight Night 151.

Those two setbacks are Zahabi’s only defeats, though, and since then, he’s bounced back in a big way. With a five-fight win streak under his belt, his most recent win came in November 2024 at UFC Fight Night 246, where he earned a hard-fought split decision over Pedro Munhoz.

Reflecting on those early losses, Zahabi later admitted to MMA Junkie that his mental approach was a factor, revealing he struggled to find the right balance between aggression and caution. He stated, “It’s more mental than it is about skillset,” and later added, “gaging when I should pick up the tempo and when I should be patient.”
