“It Is a Funny Debate”- Jon Jones Weighs In on the 100 Men vs Gorilla Debate, Reveals Who Wins!

Eric Divakaran

If you have not been living under a rock recently, the 100 men vs. Gorilla, debate has taken over the internet by storm. This debate started when a X user named DreamChasnMike tweeted about how 100 men can beat a single Gorilla, if the men were determined enough. This tweet immediately went viral on X, as many people weighed in on the topic, and it even made headlines in multiple news channels. We had many people from across the globe, including scientists and gorilla caretakers weigh in on the debate. NFL players, YouTubers, NBA players, all weighed in on the top.

Since this topic was hot, some people even started creating their own list of people who would participate in the 100 men vs. Gorilla challenge, hypothetically, and one of the most repeated names was Jon Jones. Jones is considered by many as the GOAT of the UFC, and rightly so. He’s the current heavyweight champion, and is one of, if not, the most dominant fighters we have ever seen inside the octagon. So who better to take in a fight against gorilla, than Jon Jones.

Funnily enough, Jon Jones must have heard all the noise, and he finally decided to give his take on the 100 men vs. gorilla topic, and his pick could surprise you.

Jon Jones Picks Humans in 100 Men vs. Gorilla Showdown

Jon Jones recently picked 100 men to beat a gorilla, and his reason was that humans are just far more intelligent and could game plan going against the gorilla. Jones also stated that he needs a bunch of heavier guys from the UFC, and would not dare to go fight a gorilla solo. If we’re going against a gorilla, we would definitely want to be the endline of the pack, however, Jones said that he would lead the pack, when asked about where would he want to be positioned amongst the 100 men participating hypothetically.

We believe that humans cannot take a gorilla down without any tools or weapons, which was the challenge presented at first. For context, gorillas possess extraordinary strength, far outmatching humans. A silverback gorilla, weighs anywhere between 300-450 pounds, and can lift upto 1,800 pounds, boasting 8-10 times a human’s pound-for-pound power. Their grips can bend metal, and their bite force is around 1,300 psi. Gorillas are far superior to humans in terms of physical attributes, however, coordinated human effort could exploit its limited endurance. So, Jon Jones may not be wrong to side with the humans, but the sheer power could be too much to overcome.

I cover the National Football League and things cannot get better than that. I always dreamed to play football or basketball professionally since I’m built like a Running Back. But now that I can’t, since I’m technically in the “Unc” age, I thought why not pick a career in sports industry? So here I am, doing what I love, and hoping that the Commanders win the Super Bowl. I give love to players when it’s due, but can be critical about their performances at the same time. Enough about me, now let my articles do all the talking.
