Get to know all about John Cena's Injury
John Cena and Randy Orton have been part of many classic matches over the course of 25 years. They know each other so well that they can copy each other’s moves perfectly and counter them too. These legends collided at Backlash 2025 in Randy Orton’s home, marking the revival of the 25-year-long rivalry. The roles are, however, reversed, as it’s John Cena who is a heel now.

Randy Orton and John Cena fought inside the ring, but the ring is too small for these legends. The fight soon went outside the ring, and though there were disqualifications, the tables were still broken. It took two referees and five officials to finally steer the match towards its conclusion. John Cena used his new finishers combo, A Low Blow followed by hitting Randy on his head with the Undisputed Championship, to retain the title.

Randy Orton made sure John Cena received both his RKO and Attitude Adjustment. He delivered two Attitude Adjustments and sent John Cena through the table twice. John Cena went through the announcer’s table first, but it was the second Attitude Adjustment that sent him through the wooden table, which scratched his back towards the right-hand side. His wound was apparent during the match.

John Cena received a lot of punishment during the entire match but emerged victorious thanks to his lifelong fan, R-Truth. The injury to John doesn’t seem to be concerning, but he will still receive medical attention backstage nonetheless.

John Cena’s injury isn’t that concerning that he can not feature in WWE however, he is not scheduled to appear in WWE in the coming weeks as of now. He will have ample time to recover from the brutalization that he received from his arch-rival, Randy Orton. WWE might change his schedule after he defended his title against hometown hero Randy Orton at Backlash.
