Lyra Valkyria Injury Update: What Happened to Lyra Valkyria?

Ashish Negi

Get to know all about Lyra Valkyria injury.

Lyra Valkyria participated in the most brutal match of her career against Becky Lynch while defending her WWE Women’s Intercontinental title at Backlash 2025. These women destroyed each other during the match, doing everything they could to hurt one another. Their match crossed the limits of physical brutalization, but these superstars of the women’s roster were able to stand somehow.

Becky Lynch has returned to WWE as a heel, and she is nailing it. She tried everything she could, from distracting referees to exposing a turnbuckle to get her hands on the Intercontinental title. Lyra Valkyria, however, stood up against everything her opponent threw at her and proved her mettle against the veteran. She defended her title in the process but also suffered an injury while doing so.

What Happened to Lyra Valkyria?

Lyra Valkyria might have suffered a broken nose during the match, as informed twice by the commentator, Michael Cole. She was holding her nose during the closing moments of the match. She pinned Becky Lynch with one hand while her other hand was covering her nose. Her nose might not be the only thing that’s hurting, as Becky Lynch made sure the Intercontinental Champion goes through hell while defending her title.

Becky Lynch didn’t take the loss kindly and started an assault on the champion, and officials had to intervene and break the armbar. Lyra Valkyria was still holding her nose while the referee announced her victorious and handed her the belt. She is sure to receive medical attention as soon as she goes backstage. WWE is yet to give an official word on her injury, and we will keep you updated.

When Will Lyra Valkyria be Back?

WWE is yet to give an official update on the extent of the injury. They might give an official word after they have performed the scan. She might be out of WWE for a week or two or more, depending on the injury. We will give you an official update once we receive confirmation from WWE.
