Jamie Vardy’s incredible career has taken a fresh twist, with the former Leicester City and England striker completing a move to Serie A side Cremonese. The 38-year-old forward has reportedly signed a deal with the Italian club until June 2026, with an option for a further season if Cremonese secure survival in the top flight.
The Leicester legend, who scored 200 goals in 500 appearances and played a starring role in the club’s historic 2015–16 Premier League triumph, had been a free agent since leaving the King Power Stadium earlier this summer. Despite reported interest from Feyenoord, Cremonese moved quickly to land Vardy. Notably, the veteran striker travelled to Milan over the weekend to finalise his move.

His story from non-league football to Premier League champion and FA Cup winner remains one of the most remarkable in modern football.
Notably, Cremonese have just returned to Serie A this season. The newly-promoted side have started the season strongly with back-to-back wins over Sassuolo and AC Milan. The arrival of Vardy will add both experience and speed to their attack. The veteran striker was given a hero’s welcome in Italy as he was mobbed by ecstatic fans who celebrated his arrival in scenes of pure excitement.
