All eyes will be on top seed Jannik Sinner – the 23-year-old will return to action after three months. Drawn in the opposite half of the draw as Carlos Alcaraz, the reigning Australian Open champion is set to face either Navone or Cina in Round-2. Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, Francisco Cerundolo and Casper Ruud are his potential opponents to reach the semifinal stage. Taylor Fritz and either ‘Carlitos’ or Alexander Zverev could await in the semis and final respectively.

Carlos Alcaraz might come up against powerhouse Jan-Lennard Struff in Round-2. His route to the semifinal involves getting past Alex Michelsen, Grigor Dimitrov and Jack Draper/Holger Rune. Zverev and Sinner could stand in his way to the title after this. On the other hand, ‘Sascha’ Zverev has been hit with a nightmarish draw – he could face Denis Shapovalov in Round-3 and one out of Arthur Fils or Stefanos Tsitsipas in the Round of 16. Lorenzo Musetti, Alcaraz and Sinner close out his path to retaining the championship.

Best Round-1 Matches:

Joao Fonseca vs Fabian Marozsan

Matteo Arnaldi vs Roberto Bautista Agut

Nicolas Jarry vs Hugo Gaston

Fabio Fognini vs Jacob Fearnley

Fresh off her Madrid Open success, Aryna Sabalenka has a free pass to Round-2 where she takes on either Dayana Yastremska or Anastasia Potapova. Either Katie Boulter or Sofia Kenin await in Round-3. With Alexandra Eala, Marta Kostyuk, Elena Rybakina, Bianca Andreescu and Zheng Qinwen in the same quarter, the World No. 1 has a treacherous path to the semis. A rematch with Coco Gauff and then Iga Swiatek lie among the possibilities.

No. 2 seed Iga Swiatek’s first big challenge is in Round-3, against Danielle Collins. Elina Svitolina is her most likely opponent in the Round of 16. Meanwhile the likes of Madison Keys, Naomi Osaka and Paula Badosa will fight it out to determine who faces the four-time Roland Garros champ in the last eight. Jessica Pegula and Sabalenka/Gauff could await in the summit clash.

Best Round-1 Matches:

Katie Boulter vs Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova

Alexandra Eala vs Marta Kostyuk

Naomi Osaka vs Sara Errani
