2025 ATP Italian Open in Rome: A Look at the Top-4 Seeds and Intriguing Match-Ups En Route to Finals

Sankalp Harikrishnan

No. 2 seed Zverev is the current trophy-holder.

A year after Alexander Zverev slayed Nicolas Jarry to capture the Italian Open crown in Rome, the field is set to return for the 2025 ATP Internazionali d’Italia at the Foro Italico. Jannik Sinner, who won the Australian Open earlier this year, returns as the top seed after a three month layoff. Meanwhile, defending champion Zverev is seeded No. 2 in the tournament. But what paths do the Top-4 seeds need to overcome in order to claim the championship?

Apart from the above mentioned stars, Carlos Alcaraz and Taylor Fritz complete the lineup. A six-time winner of the event, 24-time Grand Slam champ Novak Djokovic pulled out of Roma Italia last week. Nonetheless, there is no shortage of star power at the Italian Open this year. This will be the 82nd edition of the combined tournament.
