How many points did Karl-Anthony Towns score in his return to Minnesota? Full Stats from Knicks vs Timberwolves

Swati Bhatia

Karl-Anthony Towns made an emotional return to Minnesota on Thursday.

Karl-Anthony Towns returned to Target Center on Thursday night as a New York Knick for the first time since being traded away by the Minnesota Timberwolves in October.

The Timberwolves gave a fitting tribute to their No. 2 scorer of all time with a 86-second video, while the crowd erupted in cheers as he was introduced.

The 29-year-old had a 9-year stint with Timberwolves after he was selected with the No. 1 pick in 2015 NBA Draft. Towns won the 2015-16 NBA Rookie of the Year award and earned four All-Star game appearances during his stay at Minnesota.

However, the Knicks forward gave Minnesota fans little to cheer about during the game itself, leading New York to a commanding 133-107 win.
