Bulls vs Warriors: How many points did Jimmy Butler score on his debut?

Jimmy Butler made his highly-anticipated debut with the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night against the Chicago Bulls. The former Miami Heat star was in Steve Kerr’s starting lineup and helped his side to secure a comeback win.

The Warriors’ 31-game sprint with Jimmy Butler started with a 132-111 win. Golden State revealed their first starting lineup ever with Butler inserted, and it’s comprised of: Steph Curry, Buddy Hield, Jimmy Butler, Draymond Green, and Quinten Post.

The Dubs outscored the Bulls in the first period. However, Chicago had an 18-0 run in the second to take a 69-55 lead at halftime. The Dubs flipped a 22-point deficit to a four-point lead at the end of the third quarter. They carried the momentum and scored the first nine points in the fourth quarter. Steph Curry was top performer for the Warriors with 34 points.

Jimmy Butler was not on minute restrictions and the veteran star had a decent outing on his debut. The former Miami All-Star tallied 25 points, four assists, two rebounds, one steal and one block while shooting 3-for-8 from the floor.

Butler went 11-13 on FTs and made the second most free throw attempts ever in a Warriors debut behind only Wilt Chamberlain (15).

Jimmy Butler looked solid in the opening half and scored eight points. The 35-year-old forward chipped in seven points in the third quarter to provide big support to Steph Curry, who sparked a comeback.

In the fourth quarter, Butler made an impressive alley-oop dunk and scored 7 points in a 9-0 run. He scored 10 points in the final quarter and the Warriors outscored the Bulls 35-17.
