The last time we saw Grigor, he retired during his match at Roland Garrros with an injury.
Hopefully he can work his way into this draw and build some confidence.

With a 23-16 record, Corentin Moutet has been quite impressive this season. The Frenchman secured his first top-10 victory in the Italian Open when he got better of ninth seed Holger Rune in the fourth longest match at the tournament. Ahead of the Wimbledon, the 26-year-old participated in the Queen’s Club Championships where he overcame third seed Taylor Fritz to get his second top 10 win. Moutet also reached his second career final on the ATP Tour in Mallorca where he lost to Tallon Griekspoor. The French ace is 9-3 on the grass this season and recent warm-up at Mallorca and Queen’s Club will surely raise his confidence.

Corentin Moutet holds the 2-0 lead over Grigor Dimitrov, who is a higher-ranked player than him. However, his both victories in 2019 and 2021. Dimitrov has become a superior player in the men’s singles in last four years. It will be their second grass-court meeting as they met in the first-round of the Wimbledon 2019.

| 2021 | Murray River Open – Melbourne | Quarterfinals | Corentin Moutet | 7-5, 6-2 |
| 2019 | Wimbledon | First Round | Corentin Moutet | 2-6. 3-6, 7-6(4), 6-3, 6-1 |
| Grigor Dimitrov | Category | Corentin Moutet |
| 21 | Current Ranking | 69 |

| 15-10 | YTD W-L | 23-16 |
| 9 | Career Titles | 0 |

With two top-10 victories and a runner-up finish in Mallorca gives Corentin Moutet a slight edge on the grass surface. However, Grigor Dimitrov brings a solid experience and he can counter Moutet with his heavy, powerful and accurate forehand. The Bulgarian ace adds pace in the baseline rallies and also delivers a conventional single-handed backhand. Moutet’s current confidence looks heavy on Dimitrov, who is making a comeback after the injury.
Prediction: Grigor Dimitrov to win in five sets.
At 4/9, Dimitrov enters clear favorite, reflecting her Grand Slam form and mental toughness. Moutet, at 7/4, brings recent grass-court form and two top-10 wins this year. Still, the odds back the Bulgarian ace to prevail.
