WWE is all set to air another Friday Night SmackDown. This will be the first SmackDown after WWE concluded another successful PLE. Tonight’s SmackDown will feature the final of The Last Time is Now tournament, where the winner will get an opportunity to wrestle John Cena in his last match in WWE.

Drew McIntyre’s status has not yet been revealed post his suspension from the SmackDown brand. Paul Heyman found a loophole and added him to his team for Survivor Series: WarGames. Now that WarGames is over, Will Nick Aldis reinstate him on SmackDown?

What Time is Friday Night SmackDown Tonight?

WWE Friday Night SmackDown is scheduled to air live at 8 pm ET / 7 pm CT / 5 pm PT on December 05, 2025. WWE will stream SmackDown live on USA Network inside the United States. Fans from around the world can stream the show live on Netflix with their current plan at various times, adjusted for their respective time zones.

WWE has announced only one match for tonight, which is the final of the Last Time is Now tournament. The remaining matches will be announced in real time. Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, Sami Zayn, and Drew McIntyre are expected to feature on WWE SmackDown tonight.

LA Knight vs Gunther

LA Knight defeated Jey Uso in the semifinals and The Miz in the quarter finals of the Last Time is Now tournament. Gunther, on the other hand, defeated Solo Sikoa in the semifinals and Carmelo Hayes in the quarterfinals of the league. These two superstars will now each other to decide the #1 contender to face John Cena in his last match at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13, 2025

Prediction: Gunther would defeat LA Knight and face John Cena at SNME on December 13th.

United States Championship Open Challenge

It all started when Sami Zayn started an open challenge every week after becoming the WWE United States Champion. The tradition is now carried forward by his successor, Ilja Dragunov, who has successfully defended thrice on back-to-back SmackDowns. He defeated Johnny Gargano last week and Nathan Frazer a week before that. He has kept his reign intact for 48 days now.

Ilja Dragunov had a confrontation with Tama Tonga backstage, and we could see him defend his title against the latter tonight.
