Jacob Fatu Injury Update: What Happened To Jacob Fatu?

In a shocking turn of events on Friday Night SmackDown, Jacob Fatu was seen buried under a metal structure bleeding through his mouth. He was scheduled to face Drew McIntyre in a #1 contender match for the WWE Undisputed Championship at SmackDown main event. The match couldn’t take place as Jacob Fatu was seen entombed under a metal structure, bleeding through his mouth.

Drew McIntyre then entered the ring and asked the referee to announce him the winner and the #1 contender for the WWE Undisputed title. Nick Aldis came outside and asked whether he had something to do with attack on Jacob Fatu and Drew McIntyre denied. Cody Rhodes entered the arena fuming and gave the title match to Drew McIntyre. The match however ended in DQ.

What Happened To Jacob Fatu?

Jacob Fatu was spotted on the floor, bleeding from his mouth, and it appeared that several of his teeth had fallen next to him, covered in blood. The injury segment is however an attempt to write off Jacob Fatu from WWE for sometime. It was run after the reports of Jacob Fatu suffering a non-wrestling-related injury surfaced all over the internet.

The extent of injury is yet not revealed by the WWE officials but it is confirm that Jacob Fatu would be out of WWE for the near future. Some reports even suggest that he might return to WWE somewhere in 2026. He has previously dealt with Ankle injury earlier this year.

WWE had some big plans for for Jacob Fatu with reports suggesting him taking part in Men’s WarGame match at Survivor Series. His ongoing feud with Drew McIntyre might have been the big push to his career but the injury came at an unfortunate time. It is unclear who carried out the attack in WWE and the storyline might be revealed in the coming week on SmackDown.
