Real Madrid Awaits Fede Valverde’s Recovery Timeline Ahead of FIFA Club World Cup 2025

Real Madrid towards the end of the season sustained a major injury blow as Fede Valverde was termed unavailable this week. The Los Blancos has informed Valverde has been diagnosed with lumbosciatalgia after undergoing tests on Sunday. 

Taking a knock on his lower back against Real Sociedad, the Uruguayan had to be subbed off in the 37th matchday of La Liga. Real Madrid said his recovery is being monitored as the Medical Staff are aiming for a speedy recovery. 

Will Fede Valverde Be Available For the Club World Cup 2025?

According to famous journalist Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid expects Valverde to be back at the start of June, and then available for the FIFA Club World Cup if all is confirmed. The 26-year-old is the heart of Madrid’s big game moments as he’s shown his versatility all over the pitch this season.

From serving as the right-back to a stellar midfield display, Valverde is an important pillar of the Real Madrid team. Given his passion on the pitch and his rare abilities, Valverde will play an important role at the Club World Cup in June. 

Starting in 34 games in the La Liga 2024/25 for Ancelotti, Valverde has seen most of the action this season. He has 10 G/A contributions in the league despite his role being switched to defensive duties following the mid-season injury crisis.

Club World Cup will commence three high-intensity group-stage games for Real Madrid. With the energy always required to be at peak in Cup tournaments, Valverde will also be cautiously approached in the tournament given the speed of his recovery as around three weeks remain.
