McLaren leads the constructor's championship.
The Formula 1 constructor’s championship commenced on March 16 with the Australian Grand Prix. The 10 registered teams will compete in over 24 races throughout the 2025 F1 season. The F1 Constructor Standings are decided on the basis of the points scored by each team per race. Teams secure points on the basis of the points earned by their two drivers according to the race results. The F1 constructor’s championship features different teams but, many teams have a common engine manufacturer.
Mercedes, Ferrari, Honda and Renault are the four engine manufacturers of the 2025 Formula 1 season. McLaren won the 2024 Constructor’s championship, defeating Red Bull with their superior car. McLaren managed to maximise points with their consistent drivers. Ferrari is the most successful team in Formula 1, having won 16 constructor championships. They won their last constructor championship in 2008.
McLaren might just run away with the constructor’s title this year. They have won the majority of the races in the first half of the season. The combined efforts of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri are giving McLaren the advantage over every other team. Red Bull Racing are slowly picking up the pace with their latest win. Meanwhile, Mercedes need to get their consistency straight so that they can challenge more effectively.
Williams F1 is the story of the year after their results in 2025. They have made a complete turnaround. Williams are picking points and dominating the midfield. They are trying to gain a potential podium from their recent success.

nhl I work as a Writer at The Playoffs specialising in NHL, Formula 1 and Motorsports. I got into online journalism a couple of years ago. I used to be an intern for a website managing their Formula 1 content and then I served an entire year as a contractual writer.
Read moreFor me, online journalism was not something I expected. I am a Mechanical Engineer aiming to join Formula 1. At the same time, I am a poet, writer and my university’s Literary Club Lead. One day the dots connected together and I realised I could use my writing skills to convey my passion for Motorsports.
The biggest aspects I love about my role are- Scuderia Ferrari and Sebastian Vettel. When I am not fawning over them I like to convey my opinions to the public, in a manner which helps them gain a new point of view. I love helping people explore new ideas about Motorsports and obviously get recognised as a writer all over the world.
Message to Readers: I promise you one day you’ll see me managing operations on track with a Formula 1 team ; )
