The Grand Prix will witness numerous upgrades and parts from various teams throughout the weekend. Teams like Ferrari are already focusing on the 2026 Formula 1 season and as such, this race is going to be their first proving ground for the concepts of next season. The Austrian Grand Prix is also a deciding race for Max Verstappen. The Austrian GP circuit is going to be the final weekend with the premise of a race ban for the Dutchman. If Verstappen has a clean, no-penalty weekend then he can rest easy for the upcoming Grand Prix.
The Austrian Grand Prix takes place at Spielberg’s Red Bull Ring in Austria. The race has been a part of Formula 1 since the 1970s. Originally, the track was known as the Österreichring. After Red Bull purchased the circuit under the lead of Dietrich Mateschitz in 2004, they brought radical changes to the track’s layout. As a result, the Red Bull Ring has been a regular Formula 1 track since 2014. George Russell is the defending winner of the Austrian Grand Prix. He won ahead of Max Verstappen in 2024 even though the Dutchman started the race on pole. The Red Bull Ring is famous for their Orange Army. The Red Bull Ring is going to give F1 drivers a wild roller-coster ride. The Austrian GP circuit is famous for its uphill climb blasting through three long straights. The real danger and tricky part arrives as F1 drivers navigate downhill through the treacherous Rindt right-hander. As witnessed in the previous events, once again Austrian GP’s turn 9 and 10 are expected to annoy the stewards with their track limit violations.
nhl I work as a Writer at The Playoffs specialising in NHL, Formula 1 and Motorsports. I got into online journalism a couple of years ago. I used to be an intern for a website managing their Formula 1 content and then I served an entire year as a contractual writer.
Read moreFor me, online journalism was not something I expected. I am a Mechanical Engineer aiming to join Formula 1. At the same time, I am a poet, writer and my university’s Literary Club Lead. One day the dots connected together and I realised I could use my writing skills to convey my passion for Motorsports.
The biggest aspects I love about my role are- Scuderia Ferrari and Sebastian Vettel. When I am not fawning over them I like to convey my opinions to the public, in a manner which helps them gain a new point of view. I love helping people explore new ideas about Motorsports and obviously get recognised as a writer all over the world.
Message to Readers: I promise you one day you’ll see me managing operations on track with a Formula 1 team ; )
