The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is known for planning their future events in advance. The CEO of the company, Dana White has revealed two of the matches that are going to take place in an upcoming event in June.

The name of the event is UFC Fight Night: Usman vs Buckley and it is scheduled for June 14, 2025 in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. The tickets for this event will be on sale on May 2, 2025. Notably, two former champions will be returning for the event. But who are the two fighters that Dana White talked about for this event in June? Let’s have a look.

Kamaru Usman Is All Set To Go Head to Head Against Joaquin Buckley

Kamaru “Nigerian Nightmare” Usman is returning to the UFC as per their official X page. He is known for being a former Welterweight Champion. He will be facing off against Joaquin “New Mansa” Buckley.

Notably, Kamaru Usman made his last appearance inside the Octagon on October 21, 2023 at UFC 294. There, he lost to Khamzat Chimaev. On the other hand, Joaquin Buckley is yet to win a title in the UFC. However, he has gained five Performance of the Night honors so far in his career inside the Octagon. Buckley also gained a win over Colby Covington in his last fight UFC Fight Night on December 14, 2024. This Welterweight bout is going to be one of the main events of the UFC Fight Night on June 14, 2025 as per the UFC official site.

Rose Namajunas to square off against Miranda Maverick

The UFC has also announced the return of another former champion. “Thug” Rose Namajunas will be returning on June 14, 2025. This former two-time UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion was last seen suffering a loss at the hands of Erin Blanchfield on November 2, 2024. She is presently #6 in the UFC Women’s Flyweight division.

Rose Namajunas’ opponent for the fight will be Miranda “Fear The” Maverick on June 14, 2025. A veteran fighter on her own, she is presently on a high win streak of 6 fights in her UFC career with 5 Performance of the Night honors in her name. She also sits at #12 in the UFC Women’s Flyweight Division so far. This flyweight bout will be the co-main event for the UFC Fight Night on June 14, 2025.

The return of two veteran former champions inside the Octagon is bhave the potential to make the June 14, 2025 UFC Fight Night a spectacle for the company.
