The Saints vs. Broncos game worked out in the favor of the Denver Broncos but Bo Nix’s subpar performance became the talking point of the game. Head coach Sean Payton and his boys managed to pull off a decent outing with 33 points on the scorecard against the Saints’ 9. But Broncos starting QB Bo Nix, despite having 164 passing and 75 rushing yards, couldn’t throw a single touchdown.
To rub salt to the wounds, Nix threw a horrible pass that dropped between wide receiver Troy Franklin and tight end Lucas Krull. Needless to say, this led to some brutal online trolling for the Broncos’ playmaker, despite the team winning the game.
This was the funniest pass of the season. And maybe the decade. pic.twitter.com/w44z5UTmNk

After the initial hiccups, the Broncos managed to defeat the Saints convincingly and go 4-3 on their record through Week 7 of the regular season. Javonte Willams’ two touchdowns remain the highlight of the game. The Broncos defense did better than the offense, to say the least.
The Broncos defense controlled the trenches. The Saints could only go for 97 yards in 21 attempts, indicating the dominance of the Broncos defense.
Bo Nix has thrown 1246 yards for 5 touchdowns over the 7 games he has played in the 2024 regular season. He has also thrown 5 interceptions through 7 games. Nix has been a vital part of head coach Sean Payton’s plans but he needs to up his ante if he wishes to lead his side to the playoffs.

The Broncos play their next three games against the Carolina Panther, the Baltimore Ravens and the Kansas City Chiefs. Though Sean Payton is trying to get the team to play his style of ball, the Broncos offense needs some serious work. The mistakes they made against the Saints will not go unnoticed against the likes of Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes.
