Becky Lynch’s reign came to a shocking end on Monday Night Raw, but due to the ghost of her past, AJ Lee. Her scheduled opponent, Maxxine Dupri, got the much-needed edge on Becky Lynch when the latter got distracted by the entrance of AJ Lee by the ring side.
Becky Lynch was dominating Maxxine Dupri when AJ Lee appeared at the ringside. This distracted the Man and gave Maxxine Dupri an opportunity to capitalize. Maxxine Dupri delivered a top rope cross-body and got a pinfall victory over Becky Lynch to become the new Women’s Intercontinental Champion.
While Maxxine Dupri won the title, the attention immediately shifted towards the rivalry between Becky Lynch and AJ Lee. An age-long rivalry that seems never-ending added another chapter to it before Survivor Series: WarGames.
The past month has not been good for Becky Lynch. This untimely loss added another shocker for her after her husband, Seth Rollins, was sidelined from WWE owing to a shoulder injury. The timing of the dispute could not be any more perfect, setting her up for a major role at Survivor Series: WarGames.
Speculations are high that Becky Lynch might join Kabuki Warriors, Nia Jax, and Lash Legend. The Kabuki Warriors have been searching for a fifth partner before Survivor Series, and since Bayley has denied being part of their team, they might ask Becky Lynch. Becky Lynch’s addition will make AJ Lee join hands with Rhea Ripley, Iyo SKy, Charlotte Flair, and Alexa Bliss.
The championship loss will free Becky Lynch from the constraint to defend her title at a major event. This will make her feud with AJ Lee a lot more personal and high-stakes. The steel cage will provide the perfect opportunity for The Man to dominate AJ Lee and prove she doesn’t need gold to be the epicenter of the women’s division.
