Turin’s richest-ever ATP Finals sets the stage for the most dramatic battles ever.
The 2025 Nitto ATP Finals arrive with historic stakes on every front. This year’s champion could walk away with a record-shattering $5 million, the largest payout ever awarded at the season finale. However, this will be rewarded for an undefeated win. The event, staged at Turin’s Inalpi Arena from November 9 to 16, boasts an all-time high prize pool of $15.5 million. The singles field has been reshaped following Novak Djokovic’s withdrawal due to a shoulder injury, placing Lorenzo Musetti and Felix Auger-Aliassime into the lineup.

The Jimmy Connors Group features top seed Carlos Alcaraz, Taylor Fritz, Alex de Minaur, and Musetti. The Bjorn Borg Group houses defending champion Jannik Sinner, third seed Alexander Zverev, the explosive Ben Shelton, and Auger-Aliassime. Sinner’s undefeated title run in 2024 electrified Turin, as he set the standard last year when he earned $4.88 million. Zverev remains one of the sport’s most reliable indoor performers. However, the defending champion’s most awaited match is against Alcaraz. Their rivalry has already defined this season, with them meeting at all Grand Slam finals this season and either of them winning.

From the semifinals onward, every match carries seven-figure stakes. Each semifinal winner will add $1.18 million to their tally, while the champion pockets an additional $2.36 million on top of what they earn in the round-robin stage. The performance-based events’ prize money increases with each win, so money and glory both are at stake in the year-end event.
Also, an undefeated champion can collect the full 1500 ATP points, with 200 awarded for each round-robin win, 400 for a semifinal victory, and 500 for lifting the trophy.

mma I’m an academic turned sports writer from Raipur, India, specializing in the NFL, MMA, and tennis at The Playoffs. I previously wrote for Sportskeeda and hold a B.A. and M.A. in History. My journey into sports media began far from the field, rooted in the arts and sciences. Funny enough, I didn’t grow up a sports fan; I used to see it all as just noise. But a fateful writing job introduced me to the world of sports, and what began as a gig quickly became a passion. I understood those voices aren’t noise; they’re emotions of true sports fans, and now I am one of them, writing with the same energy I once questioned.
