Arvid Lindblad getting ready with private tests with Red Bull Racing
Arvid Lindblad will consider himself lucky this year. The 17-year-old got himself his FIA super-license earlier this month. His performance triggered a clause in FIA’s rules which allowed them to grant him his new license. Red Bull Racing has been working with Lindblad after taking him under their wing. They recently conducted a test with Arvid Lindblad at the Emilia-Romagna F1 circuit of Imola.
Arvid Lindblad is proving himself as a notable competitor in the junior Formula series. It’s only a matter of time before he shows up in one of the Red Bull cars for a test session in Free Practice. Lindblad may also get a chance to feature in a Formula 1 race if Max Verstappen ends up with a ban this weekend. The possibilities are endless and his efforts are increasing.
Arvid Lindblad and Ayumu Iwasa were present at the Imola Circuit a few days ago. They would take turns driving the Red Bull AT04. It was a part of testing previous cars which F1 rookies usually undergo before they drive a current season car. The AT04 originally ran under AlphaTauri in 2023. He completed more than 300 kms of run in his first test with Red Bull Racing.
Red Bull is preparing Lindblad for his Free Practice run in the 2025 F1 season. Racing Bulls have to undertake two FP1 rookie tests and Red Bull Racing has to undertake three tests in the upcoming races. Arvid Lindblad is also running for a seat in either of the teams the next season.

Red Bull Racing is facing difficulties with both Yuki Tsunoda and Liam Lawson. Although, Lindblad himself has put himself away from any speculations. There is no doubting the fact Red Bull Racing likes to make split second decisions with their drivers. They won’t take much time in firing either of their drivers. Both Lawson and Tsunoda are lacking severely compared to their teammates, in such case at least one driver will end up forfeiting their seat by the end of the season.
For Arvid Linblad this might be a make or break opportunity. It will all depend on his performance in the upcoming sessions.
I work as a Writer at The Playoffs specialising in Formula 1 and Motorsports. I got into online journalism a couple of years ago. I used to be an intern for a website managing their Formula 1 content and then I served an entire year as a contractual writer.
Read moreFor me, online journalism was not something I expected. I am a Mechanical Engineer aiming to join Formula 1. At the same time, I am a poet, writer and my university's Literary Club Lead. One day the dots connected together and I realised I could use my writing skills to convey my passion for Motorsports.
The biggest aspects I love about my role are- Scuderia Ferrari and Sebastian Vettel. When I am not fawning over them I like to convey my opinions to the public, in a manner which helps them gain a new point of view. I love helping people explore new ideas about Motorsports and obviously get recognised as a writer all over the world.
