Valtteri Bottas stars in a new video featuring a Cadillac seat
There are only a few drivers more interesting than Valtteri Bottas in Formula 1. The Finnish is driver waiting his turn to return to F1. However, he never fails to cause mayhem on the grid with his social media posts. Bottas has restarted a hot debate in Formula 1 with a new video on his social media. This time Bottas can be seen poking fun at his F1 return rumors and a future F1 team.
Cadillac F1 are going to join Formula 1 as the 11th team on the 2026 grid. Valtteri Bottas is among the drivers named for the much discussed seat at Cadillac. The team has not released any information about their plans for 2026. The two drivers for Cadillac are still a mystery for F1 fans. In such a crucial moment, Valtteri Bottas decided to throw in a cryptic yet hilarious video. And the fans are going absolutely crazy trying to decode his “hidden message”, i.e. if there is any.
The video starts with Bottas walking around on the road. His friend draws his attention towards a Cadillac SUV parked near the pavement. The door of the SUV is open and Bottas immediately starts taking a look inside. Valtteri Bottas touches the seats of the car calling it “nice”. His friend casually calls out the fact that the SUV is empty and there are two seats available.
Asking if Valtteri wants to have a seat, his friend points at the Cadillac logo. Bottas keeps his poker faces and refuses saying, “Not yet.” His actions have spurred the comment section to believe that a new announcement is on the way. The pun filled video is a hilarious dig towards Cadillac F1’s vacant seats and Valtteri’s Formula 1 return.

Earlier, Bottas drew everyone’s attention while talking about his chances. He was confident that he would be a good pick for Cadillac F1, quoting his winning stint at Mercedes. The Finn is looking forward towards rejoining Formula 1 in 2026. His team is already in talks with other outfits for a potential seat in 2026. What do you think? Is the Calendar man of Formula 1 coming back with Cadillac F1, or is it yet another one of his funny stunts?
I work as a Writer at The Playoffs specialising in Formula 1 and Motorsports. I got into online journalism a couple of years ago. I used to be an intern for a website managing their Formula 1 content and then I served an entire year as a contractual writer.
Read moreFor me, online journalism was not something I expected. I am a Mechanical Engineer aiming to join Formula 1. At the same time, I am a poet, writer and my university's Literary Club Lead. One day the dots connected together and I realised I could use my writing skills to convey my passion for Motorsports.
The biggest aspects I love about my role are- Scuderia Ferrari and Sebastian Vettel. When I am not fawning over them I like to convey my opinions to the public, in a manner which helps them gain a new point of view. I love helping people explore new ideas about Motorsports and obviously get recognised as a writer all over the world.
