Valtteri Bottas Looks Forward to Cadillac F1 Plans!

Valtteri Bottas talks about his future prospects in Formula 1

Valtteri Bottas is on the sidelines for the 2025 season. The Finn is Mercedes and McLaren’s reserve driver for the 2025 season. Bottas was racing for Kick Sauber for the past seasons in F1. He was unable to live upto expectations after his successful Mercedes stint in the previous years.

As the 2026 season gets closer, all eyes are on Cadillac F1. The newest team of 2026 season is a taking up most of the spotlight. They haven’t decided any of their drivers for their first F1 season yet. Many drivers are being linked to the team. Colton Herta, Zhou Guanyu and Sergio Perez are leading the driver market.

Cadillac is not in any hurry to decide it’s driver pairing for the 2026 season. Mercedes Valtteri Bottas is also a potential option for the team. Even though Bottas is not American, he is undoubtedly among the best drivers currently free in the driver market.

Valtteri Bottas is “Not Done with F1 Yet”

Besides his role as a reserve driver, Bottas is also heavily involved in fan engagement. He has a cult following in Formula 1 due to his demeanor and antics. His duties and actions haven’t side tracked him from real goal in Formula 1.

Bottas is more motivated than ever to return to grid. He has a strong desire to get back into a full-time role for the 2026 season.

“I still have more to give. It’s still [the] number one thing in my life. That sensation, now that I’ve been watching aside, has got stronger and stronger and stronger, and now I really start to miss racing. Bottas took up a reserve role with Mercedes for 2025 after losing his Sauber seat I just feel like the way especially the last two years went for me in my career, it’s definitely not the way I want things to finish. End of last year – some Qualifying, some races – I felt like I was performing at my best ever.”

While talking about the Cadillac F1 project, Bottas expressed his willingness to join the team. He called it an interesting prospect to look forward to. Valtteri also thinks that he is in a better position for a potential seat with Cadillac. Quoting his experience with three teams and his winning stint at Mercedes, Valtteri Bottas is hoping for the best with regards to 2026.
