Seattle Storm Guard Jewell Loyd has reportedly asked for a trade out of the Pacific Northwest after the end of the external investigation which has drawn no violation from the coaching staff. 6-time All-Star made the accusations of harassment and bullying by the team’s coaching staff earlier.
The Seattle Storm issued a statement on Wednesday that the investigation handled by an outside source concluded there were no violations. “The Storm recently received internal allegations of potential workplace policy violations,” the team said in a statement to FOX 13 Seattle.
As per the Sun-Times report, the investigation was run by the experience of multiple players and it took them around two weeks to reach the final conclusion. Team added, “The organization retained an outside investigator to conduct an impartial investigation into the allegations. The investigation has been completed and there were no findings of policy violations or any discrimination, harassment, or bullying.”
“To protect the integrity of the process, and to preserve confidentiality, we chose not to comment while the investigation was ongoing. The Storm will continue to provide a work environment in which all individuals are treated with respect.”
Shortly after the investigation report, Loyd reportedly decided to ask for the trade as she wasn’t happy with the conclusion. Report claimed, “Loyd’s future in Seattle was contingent upon a belief that relationships within the organization could be mended.”
