A'ja Wilson delivered another monstrous performance on Wednesday!!

Las Vegas Aces icon A’ja Wilson played like a true hero once again as her team handed a last-second defeat to the Phoenix Mercury in Game 3 of the 2025 WNBA Finals. Wilson led the charge with 34 points, 14 rebounds, and four assists to post her first 30-point game in the finals and record a new career finals high. Apart from it, she dropped a jumper with 2.2 seconds left which pushed the Aces beyond the victory line. The Aces are now just one win away from clinching their third WNBA title.

Wilson, on the other hand, shattered many records, and etched her name in the history books, yet again. Averaging 27.7 points, 12.7 rebounds, 4.0 apg, with 52.5% shooting from the field in the finals, the four-time MVP is the second Aces player with 30+ points in a Finals game. This marked the ninth career 30-point playoff game of her career, breaking a tie with New York Liberty superstar Breanna Stewart and Mercury legend Diana Taurasi for the most of all time.

Not only this, but her 34 points and 14 rebounds also marked the fifth 30+ point double-double in the playoffs. She is now the third player with a 30-point double-double in the Finals, along with Jonquel Jones and Breanna Stewart.

The list doesn’t end anytime soon! Following her monstrous performance, Wilson now has recorded four consecutive Finals games with at least 20 points to move into fourth all-time. Apart from her, Angel McCoughtry and Cynthia Cooper-Dyke are tied at second with five consecutive games while Stewart sits atop with seven.

The 29-year-old also leads the league with the most 20+ points and 10+ rebounds games at seven. In addition to scoring, Wilson surpassed Stewart for No. 5 on the WNBA’s Finals rebounds list with 14 rebounds. She now has a total of 146 rebounds while Stewart has 144.

The 2025 Co-Defensive Player of the Year had three blocked shots on Wednesday, which broke a tie with Lisa Leslie’s 20 blocks and surpassed Ruth Riley’s 22. She is now on the fourth spot in the WNBA Finals record book with 23 blocks, and 2nd on all-time postseason blocks list with 120 blocks.

Wilson also climbed a few more postseason ladders as well. She surpassed Candace Parker for 3rd spot on all-time postseason FGM list with 433 FGM. Wilson also moved past Lindsay Whalen to grab fourth spot on all-time postseason FTM leaderboard with 261 FTM.
