AJ Styles is notable for being one of the very best wrestlers in the pro wrestling industry. Nicknamed “The Phenomenal One”, he has become one of the very best in-ring performers in the world of pro wrestling.

AJ Styles has wrestled almost everywhere before he came to the WWE in 2016. However, Styles is best known for his work in Ring of Honor (ROH), TNA and NJPW promotions. He also served as the leader of The Bullet Club in NJPW. AJ Styles has also managed to capture several titles in the WWE since his arrival. His wrestling skills have garnered high praise from “The Phenom” The Undertaker himself. Let’s have a look at what The Undertaker has said about AJ Styles.

The Undertaker Has Branded AJ Styles As the Michaels of His Generation

The Undertaker (Mark Calaway) has his own podcast called Six Feet Under. There, he spoke about his Boneyard Match against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36. He has revealed that he considered AJ Styles to be the Michaels of his generation. The Undertaker also stated as per reports-

“AJ Styles checks all the boxes. I don’t know if there will ever be another Shawn Michaels. I put a disclaimer on it, but AJ Styles can work with anybody. He can make anybody look like a million bucks and still be able to you know – AJ is not a big guy, but has the ability to work with anybody and make it believable, make it solid”.

The Undertaker also said that he would have loved to see match between AJ Styles and Shawn Michaels. He believes that match would have been a five-star match.

When Did The Undertaker and AJ Styles Face Each Other?

AJ Styles has the honor of being The Undertaker’s last ever opponent at WrestleMania 36 before he retired as a wrestler. Both of them competed in a Boneyard Match at the event. The event also showed The Undertaker change back from being “The Deadman” to the the nostalgic “American Badass” gimmick (via WWE on Youtube)-

The match ended with The Undertaker chokeslamming AJ Styles off the roof and through a piece of wooden flooring. He eventually put AJ Styles into the grave before departing the scene on his motorcycle. The Undertaker also called to pro wrestling career with the end of this match. The match gained high praise for it’s cinematic storytelling.

The Undertaker and AJ Styles are both legends on their own right in wrestling. However, such high praise from “The Phenom” himself is an added collection for “The Phenomenal One” AJ Styles.
