In a stunning upset, the New England Patriots defeated the undefeated Buffalo Bills 23-20 on Sunday Night Football, handing Buffalo its first loss of the 2025 season. Despite Josh Allen’s strong showing, completing 22 of 31 passes for 253 yards, two TDs, and 53 rushing yards, the Bills faltered with three turnovers and defensive lapses. Drake Maye shone for New England, throwing for 273 yards and orchestrating a crucial game-winning drive capped by a 52-yard field goal.
Maye’s poise evokes the Patriots’ glory days under Tom Brady, positioning him as the franchise’s post-Brady savior. The second-year QB’s 73.9 % completion rate and clutch plays signal a return to contention, with many hailing him as the next big thing to rebuild the dynasty.
I can’t stop watching this throw.

The New England Patriots in 2000s and 2010s dominated their way through, and won 6 championships with Tom Brady. However, after Brady’s departure, we all were wondering who will be their next QB that could lead them to glory?
Now with second year QB, Drake Maye, the Pats may have who they need and Kay Adams, who hosts the Up and Adams show, stated her belief in the QB.
“It sucks for every NFL fan that’s not the Patriots. You’re like again? I think they do. This is not new. It’s the first time we’ve all gotten to revel and see it. And it’s poetic and huge for the story that he (Maye) does it up against the reigning MVP. First, he’s undefeated in Primetime… he outduels them and gets them a win. It’s unbelievable.”
Drake Maye is just in his second year in the NFL, and as every game has passed, the more he’s improved. The Patriots may have struggled for a while without Tom Brady, but another Super Bowl trip could be well on its way for one of the most storied franchises in NFL history.

mma I cover the National Football League and things cannot get better than that. I always dreamed to play football or basketball professionally since I’m built like a Running Back. But now that I can’t, since I’m technically in the “Unc” age, I thought why not pick a career in sports industry? So here I am, doing what I love, and hoping that the Commanders win the Super Bowl. I give love to players when it’s due, but can be critical about their performances at the same time. Enough about me, now let my articles do all the talking.
