Key Injuries, Predicted Lineups & Match Preview for the AC Milan vs Bologna Coppa Italia Final clash on May 14.
The grand stage is set at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome as AC Milan and Bologna prepare to battle it out for Coppa Italia glory on Wednesday night. Both sides are eager to end a lengthy drought in Italy’s premier cup competition with the prestigious silverware on the line.
The two clubs are no strangers, having met just last week in Serie A, where Milan produced a second-half comeback to claim a 3-1 win. However, this rematch carries significantly higher stakes as final offers a chance of redemption for Milan and a historic opportunity for Bologna. For the Rossoneri, the cup represents a vital lifeline to European qualification after an underwhelming domestic campaign. Bologna, meanwhile, are chasing their first Coppa Italia crown since 1974 and enter this clash with renewed belief under Thiago Motta.
Although AC Milan have won the Coppa Italia five times, the last time that they lifted the trophy was in 2003. With the iconic Olimpico providing the perfect setting, Wednesday’s final promises drama and the chance for either side to write a defining chapter in their season.

AC Milan will be buoyed by the return of two key players ahead of their Coppa Italia final clash against Bologna. Midfield engine Youssouf Fofana is expected to be fit after recovering from a foot issue, while influential winger Rafael Leao is back in contention following his suspension.
There is optimism that Fikayo Tomori will recover in time to reclaim his spot in a three-man defence. However, Warren Bondo (ankle) and Riccardo Sottil (thigh) remain sidelined and will not feature in the final.
Manager Sergio Conceicao has a decision to make up front, with Santiago Gimenez, Tammy Abraham, and Luka Jovic all vying for a starting berth as the lone striker. Leao and Christian Pulisic are expected to support the chosen forward.

With Santiago Castro still struggling with a foot injury, Bologna are expected to go with Thijs Dallinga as the focal point of their attack for the Coppa Italia final. Riccardo Orsolini, enjoying a strong campaign with 15 goals in all competitions, is set to start on the right flank. On the opposite wing, Dan Ndoye will faces a fitness test, potentially opening the door for either Nicolo Cambiaghi or Benjamin Dominguez to start on the left.
At right-back, Emil Holm remains sidelined due to injury, meaning Lorenzo De Silvestri and former Milan skipper Davide Calabria will contest for a starting role.
