The 2025 NBA All-Star game will take place at the Chase Center in San Francisco on Sunday.

NBA announced injury replacements for Giannis Antetokounmpo and Anthony Davis for the 2025 All-Star Game. Antetokounmpo is dealing with a calf injury and the Milwaukee Coach confirmed his absence from the All-Star game. Meanwhile, Anthony Davis sustained a groin injury on his Mavericks debut.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and Anthony Davis were part of Team Cuck and Team Shaq for the All-Star Game in San Francisco. The Bucks star has missed nine games this season due to injury. On the other hand, Anthony Davis had an injury during the Lakers’ game in January which kept him out for couple of weeks.

Who will replace Giannis Antetokounmpo in 2025 NBA All-Star?

Trae Young will step in for Giannis Antetokounmpo in the East after a deserving performance for the Atlanta Hawks. The four-time All-Star leads the NBA in assists per game this season.

Initially, he was not selected as a starter or reserve and showed frustration on social media, where he said, “It’s getting ‘Traed’ at this point.” Fans were also not happy with Young’s snubbing from the All-Star Game.

Trae Young is averaging 11.4 assists per game this season, and his playmaking ability is helping the Hawks in their pursuit of the playoffs. The 26-year-old point guard was also declared the player of the week in the Eastern Conference. This is the second instance for the point guard when he was named an injury replacement.

Who will replace Anthony Davis in 2025 NBA All-Star?

Kyrie Irving has replaced his Mavericks teammate, Anthony Davis, who left the court after a serious injury on his debut on Saturday. As per reports, the former Lakers star will be sidelined for a longer period.

Irving is one of the league’s best guards and won All-Star MVP in 2014. He is averaging 24.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game while shooting 47.5% from the field, 40.7% from three-point range and 90.1% from the free throw line this season.

The nine-time All-Star is the league’s one of the most skilled ball handlers. Irving played a crucial role for the short-handed Dallas in the previous month when their key players got injured.
