With the 2024 Survivor Series: WarGames around the corner, we saw a new storyline brewing between the two superstars. Shinsuke Nakamura attacked “The Megastar” LA Knight twice. The reigning United States Champion has dominated his 117-day championship reign, as of November 28th, 2024.

The attack on the Megastar riled him up and he demanded a match against Shinsuke Nakamura. There is no better occasion for LA Knight to take revenge on Nakamura. Watching Nakamura also eyeing his third United States Championship title, WWE announced that both superstars will compete at the 2024 Survivor Series WarGames for the United States Championship.

LA Knight gets his match against Nakamura at the WarGames

The Megastar is set to compete against Shinsuke Nakamura at the 2024 Survivor Series. It was announced at the Monday Night Raw episode that aired on November 25th, 2024. Following the vicious attacks on the LA Knight, it was just a matter of time, before WWE announced their match. Both the superstars will now compete at WarGames with the WWE United States Championship title on the line.

Why is Shinsuke Nakamura attacking LA Knight?

Shinsuke Nakamura has been playing with the head of LA Knight attacking him twice in consecutive episodes of SmackDown. The first attack came right after LA Knight defended his title against Berto of Legado Del Fantasma. LA Knight didn’t get much time to celebrate his win as he was attacked by Nakamura during his celebration.

Shinsuke Nakamura claims that he knows LA Knight is insecure and wants the audience to chant his name in desperation. He concluded the video message by stating that LA Knight is frightened about losing what he has earned so far and his fear is justified.

The Megastar was defending his title against Santos Escobar when Shinsuke’s message distracted him. Santos tried to take advantage. Shinsuke soon entered the arena to distract LA Knight. LA Knight was still able to pin Escobar and defend his title.

It was after the match that Nakamura launched a brutal assault on LA Knight. He threw LA Knight, shoulder first thrice at the ring pole, and then landed his knee at the back of the LA Knight’s neck while his face was on the turnbuckle.

The tension building up between the two superstars would make their next match a lot more exciting.
